EARLY HISTORY

September 1, 1850 Franklin Ladder Company No. 3 organized and located in the City Stables at Harrison Avenue and Brookline Street.
1862 Moved to new quarters at Harrison Avenue and Wareham Street.
June 2, 1868 Became Franklin Hook and Ladder No. 3.
1873 Company names discontinued, reverted back to numbered company only ((Tower) Ladder 3 - as it remains today).
1874 Made a permanent company.
April 1, 1875 Located in the firehouse at Harrison Avenue and Bristol Street with Engine Company No. 3.
