Welcome to the website of the Boston Fire Historical Society. This website has been developed to chronicle the legacy of the Boston Fire Department during its many years of existence. In this website, you will find many interesting articles, photographs, lists, and historical data.

The Boston Fire Historical Society is a tax exempt, non-profit organization, with no direct connection or affiliation with the Boston Fire Department. While some members of the Society are or were members of the Boston Fire Department, the Society is an all-volunteer association seeking to preserve and catalog the many historical records of the Department for research and educational purposes.
